MPS and MP series roller disk mills are high-efficiency and energy-saving coal mills. They are widely used in the pulverizing systems of power, metallurgy, building materials, chemical and other industries. These mills are suitable for grinding medium-hard materials such as bituminous coal, especially in positive-pressure direct-fired pulverizing systems burning large quantities of bituminous coal. In addition to the characteristics of general medium-speed coal mills—low unit power consumption, small floor space, simple pulverizing system, low noise and reliable operation—they also have unique advantages including large crushing ratio, long service life of grinding parts, small output change during the entire operation cycle, wide material applicability, and good adaptability under both high and low load conditions.
In 1985, SHILONG introduced the complete set of production and manufacturing technology for three specifications of MPS medium-speed coal mills from Babcock Company of West Germany. In 1988, we independently developed and designed the MP 2116 roller disk mill. At present, we have formed mass production capacity and can undertake the design and manufacturing tasks of MP series mills of any specification.
MPS and MP series mills are three-roller external-force type coal mills. The three grinding rollers are driven by the rotating grinding disk to perform grinding operations. After entering the mill, materials fall onto the grinding disk through the central coal feeding pipe. The centrifugal force generated by the rotating grinding disk conveys the materials to the grinding roller path for grinding. The grinding pressure is generated by spring or hydraulic pressure device, and the grinding force is uniformly transmitted to the three grinding rollers through a statically determinate three-point system, then to the foundation through the pressure device. Hot air is used for drying and conveying coal powder. Hot air is evenly distributed around the grinding disk through the nozzle ring, drying the ground materials and conveying them to the separator at the upper part of the mill. The coarse and fine powders are separated here: fine powders are discharged from the mill, while coarse powders are returned to the mill for re-grinding. Some uncrushable materials in the feed can be discharged through the slag discharge port at the lower part of the mill.

The MPS and MP series mills produced by SHILONG mainly consist of base part, reducer, lower frame, middle frame, grinding disk, grinding roller, pressure device, separator, positive-pressure air seal device, steam purging device and other components. They are also equipped with auxiliary equipment such as main motor, lubricating oil station, hydraulic station and seal fan. In addition, supporting equipment such as slow-speed transmission device, special tools for installation and maintenance, ladder platform, coal powder distributor and quick-cut valve are available for users to choose from. The MP 2116 mill adopts a hydraulic pressure system, which can adjust the grinding pressure during operation and has better iron passing protection performance. On the basis of the original standard model, the MP 2116A mill adds a grinding roller flipping device and improves the explosion-proof capacity of the mill body
